The new school year will be here before we know it and you could take advantage of FREE college level classes. These classes will earn you 3 college credits and 1 high school elective credit. There are over 100 classes to choose from. You are allowed to take up to 12 credits per year, that is 4 classes. If you have not taken any course this year, I would recommend no more than 2 courses or 6 credits over the summer.
Most of the classes will start at the end of January and end around May.
If you are interested in enrolling in one of these classes, please let me know as soon as possible and I can get you an application.
Space is limited and enrollment is on a first come first serve basis. The program is looking for students who have at least a 3.0 GPA, with special exceptions made on a case by case basis for students with a lower GPA. These classes would be in addition to your high school classes.
Please remember these are college level courses and include a considerable amount of extra work.
LHS can purchase course materials with advanced notice.
Taking college classes in high school can save you between $300 and $2000 per class. These credits will transfer to most colleges and universities around the country.
Thank you, Mr. Dumont
